Surf Boat Rowing Forum With Nathan Perry

IMAG5The event was held at the new Henley SLSC club rooms on the 13th October and fully attended with over 40 delegates from the various clubs.

It was a great success; Nathan Perry was a very knowledgeable and engaging speaker. Attendees learned and the buffet breakfast at the club was delicious.

The highlight was Nathan Perry’s description of the Mona Vale Surf Boat rowing group culture which he says made a significant contribution to their success. Much of it stemmed from the work that Paul Roos did with the Sydney Swans. It is quite different from ours.

The pictures show how Nathan Perry is using his I-Phone to set rowlock angles (2.8 deg is optimum). Amazing stuff!!
