Henley are very proud to announce that we have three surf boat crews travelling to Stockton in NSW on the 8 – 10th February representing SA in the ASRL Interstate Surfboat Championships

The three crews representing South Australia for 2014 are:

U19 Men Henley Royals - Joseph Fazzalari, Isaac Size, Bryce Wallis, Liam Forest  (Sweep: Gary Fazzalari)

U23 Women Henley Pirates - Bianca Parker, Mia Ciccarello, Sarah Melios-Traver, Courtney Smallacombe (Sweep: Darren Hocking)

U23 Men Henley Dirty Birds - Jake Fitzgerald, Stefan Starkey, Daniel Murdock, Colby Grace (Sweep: Kevin Fitzgerald)

The SA team won the relay event last year for the first time ever against tough competition from the usual event favourites NSW & Qld. The SA state team manager is very confident that SA has one of the strongest teams he has seen going to Stockton for this year’s interstate carnival. If you haven’t already viewed last year’s historic win, you can view the footage of our SA team by visiting the www.asrlsa.com.au website and click on  ‘SA surf boat relay win at Stockton’

This year our crews will race in their own age categories as well as the Interstate Relay.

The SA team’s recent improved performances in interstate competition are directly related to the Henley SLSC U19 & U23 training programs that are respected as the benchmark in SA Surf boat competition.  Credit must be given to the dedication of the surf boat panel, the sweeps & fitness coaches and the commitment from the rowers that has help Henley emerge as “The Premier Club” in South Australia for the past three seasons.

It is one of the highest honours to represent the State, there is a lot of pride on the line  and we wish all competitors the best of luck, you do HSLSC proud.
