Aussies 2014 - Henley Team

The 2014 Aussies are about to commence and the Henley team is ready to go We start with 12 of our finest Master competitors competing in the  masters competition from 8 00 am on Monday  conditions are looking good and we are looking forward to some great competition and long days on the beach Keep an eye out for daily  updates of how we go

  • Looking forward to the open competition starting on Wednesday morning with the U15 board relays go Henley
  • Mens 130 board relay with Brett Garry and Steve come 11 th in the final great effort from Steve with a torn calf muscle
  • Henley 110 ski relay team come 11th in final well done to Robbo matteo and fletch
  • Well done to the president Neville Fielder  after 40 years of competing at the Aussies wins his first ever aussie medal in the swim teams I think we even saw a tear or two
  • Henley mens 170 swim team gets silver in the final well done to Nev Andrew and john
  • Damian Grant and Matt Simone finish 4th in the 35 to 39 double skis
  • Greg Fletcher and Scott Robinson finish 8th in the 40 to 44 double skis
  • Lindy Lewis claims bronze medal in the 30 to 35 female flags great from lindy in a very tough field

  • In the 40 to 45 Garry Ashton finishes 7th and Suzie Ashton finishes 7th a great effort for the finals of the 2km run
  • Brett Roe finishes 7th in 2 km run 45 to 49 age group
  • Day 2 masters comp is about to start conditions are fresh with a 2 foot wave first up is the 2 km run and double skis and team events
  • Andrew lanyon wins gold in 55 to 59 Iron man
  • Garry Ashton takes 4th position in the mens 40 to 44 final in a very tight finish had to to the video to clarify the result
  • Andrew lanyon and Nev Fielder 4th in final of board rescue

  • Scott Robinson and Greg Fletcher make the final of the 40 to 44 ski final did a great job in a tight race finishing just outside the top 8
