How Do I Join?

REGISTRATION INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONAL – SEASON 2024/25

Registration is now online only via the Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) website.

Payments can be made any time from today. Registrations and renewals are required prior to your child’s first Junior session for the season.

Please note that any non-registered juniors as of 15^th November will not be permitted to participate in the program beyond that date.  Contact membership@henleyslsc.com.au if you have any concerns or questions.

PART 1 – DETERMINING HOW MUCH YOU NEED TO PAY

Inclusions and Footnotes:

1. Snipper memberships must also be registered with an additional Associate Member/Parental Membership registration (eg. $75.00 + $50.00 = 125.00)
2. Members U6 to U17 membership registrations include:
   • one (1) Complementary Henley Surf Cap [value of RRP 25.00],
   • all local branch competition entry fees under Surf Life Saving South Australia (does not include State Championships fees nor does it include Pool competition fees), and
   • one (1) complementary auto-registration of one guardian per child General Membership status [value of 50.00].
3. Active Membership is a Bronze Medallion holder, fulfils patrol and Club obligations as provided by SLSA and the Member’s Club constitution, and qualifies in an annual proficiency test.  Renewing members receive a discounted membership fee of $220.00.
4. Family Pack includes a family of 3 or more paid members register – MUST include at least one (1) junior membership and is designed for same family member group and as a single payment.  A family cap comes into effect at a maximum of $750.00

Note: Upon any NEW registration you will be asked to identify as a single registration “An Individual” or a group registration “My Family” (a minimum of 2 people registering under the same group).    If you are registering as a parent + child, we recommend selecting My Family.

Note: all certification fees exclude course work material, travel and other relevant related tools where needed.

FAQ’S

First Club Training Date? Saturday 26 October 2024 1:00pm and runs through to March/April 2024

Come & Try Members?  You now have 3 weeks to come out to the Club and try Junior training U8-U18.  When your two-week period is coming to a close, you will be sent an email reminding you that your Come & Try is about to expire and to continue at the Club, you will need to register for a season membership.

Are there more fees to participate in competitions? Henley cover all regional competition fees for each full member U8-U18 wishing to compete and represent the Club (excl. State, Pool and National events)

Uniform requirements?  There are minimum compulsory requirements for training days that comply with watersafety and Club expectations.   Whilst in competition, we expect all members to proudly showcase our colours and logos as representatives of our team through current season Club swimwear uniform. 

Family packs rules?  A 15% Discount applies to all families registering 3 or more paid memberships at one time – must include at least one junior membership.  A capped amount is in effect at $750.00

Parental sign ups? Any member under the age of 14 must be registered with a parental registration (eg. Social membership).  All membership registrations U8-U17 include a complementary General membership for the parent/guardian.  Junior memberships receive one (1) complementary auto-registration of one guardian per child General Membership status [value of 50.00].  

Can I use my government Sports Voucher?  Yes, if you have a valid Sport Voucher for the calendar year 2024 that has not been used for any other sport, you may elect to apply it to your child’s registration.   Before starting any registration, complete this form the SPORT VOUCHER FROM and email it to  membership@henleyslsc.com.au.
Surf Guard does not allow for discounting the sports voucher so please pay the full membership fee, Henley SLSC will submit the voucher for payment and once we have received confirmation of acceptance a credit will be arranged.

Snipper Program fees?   As a valued part of Team Henley – the Snipper program has its own category selection with a $75.00 per child cost for the 2024/25 season.   Please note of the compulsory Parental sign up as a minimum Social level membership of $50.00 (eg. $75.00 + $50.00 = 125.00)

Certification course fees?   Award courses and certifications are highly recommended to all members not only for your own personal development but also to grow Team Henley – all courses are fully subsidised for the 2024/25 season (no charge to the member).   If you are considering an SLS award this season, please add-on the relevant course upon registering this season.   

Still unsure?  You are always welcome to upgrade your membership throughout the season via your member profile on SLSA.  As part of Junior development, SRC and Bronze Award courses are compulsory for U13s and U15+ respectively.  Please include the relevant course fee in your Junior registration at sign up.

SPORT VOUCHER DISCOUNT (NIPPERS ONLY)

The Government of SA provides an opportunity for primary school aged children (up to Year 9) to receive a $100 discount with sports clubs. If you have not already utilised this discount on other sports within the same calendar year, please follow the below steps:

PART 2 – HOW TO JOIN OR RENEW MEMBERSHIP (INSTRUCTIONAL)

Instructions for Joining (New Members Only)

Open the SLSA Joining Area: https://members.sls.com.au/SLSA_MembersOnline/public/join/member-join

1. Select ‘Surf Life Saving Club’
2. Select the Club I want to join: ‘Henley Beach’ (drop down option)
3. Select I want to join ‘my Family’
4. Input your chosen Family Group Name (ideally registering parent’s name)
5. Click ‘Next’
6. Enter details for registering parent then click ‘Add Family Member’.
7. Enter details for first registering child and repeat for each registering child.
8. Once each family member is entered click ‘Next’
9. Enter Contact Details and Emergency Contact details etc. Click ‘Next’
10. For registering parent, choose appropriate family membership option from drop down, e.g., ‘$200.00 – OTHER – FAMILY – 1 X JUNIOR (U8-U17) ETC…
11. selecting Family Pack fee options for the primary Adult, then
12. for each registering child included in the family option, choose: ‘$0.00 – Other – Included in Family Group’
13. Once complete for each member click ‘Next’
14. Proceed to payment (if you intend to use a Sports Voucher please refer to the previous compulsory instructions above)
15. Complete the sport voucher registration and save for emailing.
16. Please remember to complete the Reference No for your child from the Medicare Card.
17. Email the completed voucher to membership@henleyslsc.com.aubefore completing the membership registration.

19. Where you intend to redeem a Sports Voucher, please select the appropriate member where the Voucher applies and click ‘Next’
20. Complete your membership registration and pay via credit card.

Instructions for Renewing Members Only

1. Login to the SLSA Members Area HERE:
2. Go to: ‘Memberships > Family’
3. Check Season = 2024/25
4. Scroll to: ‘Actions’ > ‘Renew Memberships’
5. Check the box for each renewing member then click ‘Next’
6. Once complete for each member click ‘Next’
7. Check application details
8. Complete application and declaration then click ‘Next’
9. Proceed to payment (if you intend to use a Sports Voucher please refer to the previous compulsory instructions above)
10. Complete the sport voucher registrationand save for emailing.
11. Please remember to complete the Reference No for your child from the Medicare Card.
12. Email the completed voucher to membership@henleyslsc.com.aubefore completing the membership registration.
13. Complete

PART 3 – HOW TO PAY

Preferred payment option is Card Payment via the Online Portal.

If you are having difficulty paying via the portal, please contact us via membership@henleyslsc.com.au

All fields should pre-fill from previous information entered. Please check these are correct.

Family memberships please ensure all members names are in the ‘Payment Details’ field.  

Note: ensure you have completed the Receipt Email Address to ensure you have a record of your payment.

2. Complete your card details then select ‘Next’ to complete your payment. A receipt will be emailed to you and the club verifying the payment.
