The SLSSA Surf Babies 2022 program starts 12 November, and will be offered at Henley Beach.
Operated by Surf Lifesaving SA, the program teaches kids and their families water safety skills through fun, play-based programs. Through early education, it can help children to develop lifelong water safety skills and habits. A range of programs is offered for children as young as one and up.
Surf Babies is our program for young beach lovers and their families. It is designed to develop water confidence and aquatic safety for a lifelong love of the beach. Adults will gain confidence taking young children to the beach by learning how to identify hazards, respond to a beach-based emergency, and supervise children appropriately in the open water.
The Surf Babies program is for children ages one to five years and their parents.
Surf Babies is a six-week program during summer covering four key focus areas:
- Education – Sun safety and water education
- Water – Fundamental water skills
- Beach – Coordination and movement skills
- First Aid – CPR and basic first aid knowledge
Each session goes for 45 minutes across 6 weeks and costs $99 per program
Enrolments can be made via Surf Lifesaving SA.
