Beep beep!
We’d like to acknowledge the City of Charles Sturt Discretionary Ward Allowance for helping to keep our all terrain vehicle (ATV) up and running.
Have you seen our surf lifesavers driving on the beach in the ATV?
While it looks like one of the more fun parts of our volunteering, it’s incredibly important. Sometimes, it’s life-saving.
As patrol members know, the ATV is vital to:
- transporting the inflatable rescue boat (IRB)
- carrying resuscitation and first aid equipment, and
- patrolling Henley Beach from the River Torrens Outlet to Reedie Street.
The Discretionary Ward Allowance has enabled the club to have essential replacement parts supplied and fitted in addition to servicing of the ATV.
To the City of Charles Sturt: thank you for this DWA funding and the ongoing support to Henley SLSC.
Henley SLSC relies on sponsors and grants to provide vital equipment and assist us in what we can
offer members and ensure we keep beaches safe for the public.
